RONGEAD

Rongead, an European non-governmental network for the food, trade, environment and development sectors, founded in 1983, is a non-profit association. Its mission is to promote solidarity and act in a globalized economy, for and with the populations of developing countries and transition, in order to sustainably improve their living conditions.

Its goal is to engage the economic and social actors in this dynamic, from skills on the state of multilateral law (in particular on the WTO and related issues: trade, environment, development) and skills in terms of economic and social development.

Specifically, Rongead leads cooperation programs with development agencies and NGOs. In addition, Rongead informs and mobilizes in Europe professional organizations and NGOs around training interventions and awareness.


The network works in three areas:

  • the regulation of international trade 
  • the conduct and responsibility of the actors 
  • local development strategies in a globalized economy

The concept of network notes the willingness to promote associations based on joint development projects. Rongead is a structure that operates at the heart of an extensive international network and is its strength and anchor, what makes solidarity most effective. Each year, one hundred partners - NGOs, businesses, experts, collaborate on projects carried out by Rongead.
