The Sustainable Earth International University is a new type of university, under construction.
The decision was taken in Reñaca (Chile) during a meeting involving organizations and social movements, representatives of public and private universities, the movement of popular education and NGOs. It seeks to construct itself as an international space for reflection / action that collects, enhances and projects the future experience at international level, of social organizations and civil society. Its central objective, training of social leaders capable of dealing with the world community, the challenges of globalization and the 21st century.

At the time of coordination meeting of the Sustainable Earth Alliance of Nant (Aveyron), Sustainable Earth International University has held eight decentralized University "Global Terroir" on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 July , 2009 in several villages, houses and farms in Larzac and Dourbie Valley.
