Rural and fishing organisationsContag Congress, took place on the 10th of march 2009 in Brasilia with a total attendance of 3.145 people, out of which 2.604 were union representatives and many other invitees plus 27 international observers. During this tenth congress, Alberto Broch was elected president of the CONTAG with 97% of the voters. This congress was sorted out like an important moment of democraty. Meeting of the Top rural Organisations of the Centre-West zone of the Gulf of Guinea (Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Liberia). From the 2nd to the 3rd of April 2009 in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). The objective of the encounter aimed somehow to put at the same level rural organizations of the Centre West zone of the Golf of Guinea (Benin, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Togo) and those of the CSRP (Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mauritania, Senegal and Sierra Leone). Even though the G8 Summit of April 2009 have taken like theme of discussion agricultural and food security, African organisations networks think on their part that it is left to them to give analysis and suggestions of the agricultural producers as far as this theme is concerned. Tisghnasse Association (ASTITUDE) and Association des Populations des Montagnes du Monde - Section Maroc (APMM-MAROC) organized a regional encounter of Rif under the theme “Development reality of Rif mountain” on the 09th and 10th of January 2009 at Nador. More than 55 associations coming from different regions of Tanger, El Houssima, Taza, Guerssif, Oudja, Berkane and Nador participated at this encounter that targeted : - enlighten the actors, through various studies, on the regional development constraints, - sensitize local associations and other actors on their role as per development and claim are concerned, - Assort recommendations to help actors of Rif to elaborate a sustainable development through cultural, geographical, environmental and specificities of the region. Testimonies and propositions of Bolivian producers of coca with the participation of the parliamentarian Jean Lassale, Jean Bourliaud, Alain Labrousse, Sabino Mendoza Quispe (adviser of the Bolivian minister of Agriculture) Dionicio Nunez (in charge of Cocaleros syndicate) and Reynaldo Calcia Luna (chair person of local administration Yungas). Following the Barcelona forum on this theme, this conference that witnessed the participation of more than 200 hundred students enabled explanation on the situation of coca leaf in Bolivia and the fight of cacaleros for the waive of sanction for the coca leaf at the international level.

People assembled at Barcelone (Spain) from 29th to 31st of January 2009 for the First Producers Forum of Cultures Declared Illicit grouping representatives of producers from Africa, Asia and Latine America, of countries where crops declared illicit (coca trees, cannabis, and opium pavot) are generally produced, validated the common declaration, in order, singularly, to weigh on the train of the Vienne Conference organised by the United Nations, centred on this theme. Food safety and sovereignty face to the world food system crisisCreation of a study group on African Agricultures at the Polytechnic University of Valence. This group constitutes a sub-group of the GEI (International Economy Group of the Polytechnic of Valence). The objective of this group is multiple: on the one hand to regularly publish information concerning agriculture, the rural world, food sector and on the other hand to publish the researches carried out by members of the group or other researchers. « Pêche durable » Manual. Following the workshop « Fish & Catering Sector” organised jointly by RFA and Risteco (PFH, France, November 2008) a manual “Pêche durable” was presented at the occasion of the meeting at Slowfish (Gènes, Italie, 17-20 April 2009). This book initially published in French will later on be transposed into many languages (English, Italian …) It integrates in the collection of (Cahiers de Risteco) which already has many publications relating to collective restoration.

ADEPA and the WWF have agreed to combine networks initiated by them (Permanent Regional Forum and Local Fishing Organisations) to reach a high level of synergy in their interventions.
